Lin Nails Liability Waiver & Policy

Thank you for choosing Lin Nails! Your safety, health, and satisfaction are our top priorities. To ensure a safe environment for both our clients and our technicians, please review and acknowledge our liability policy below.

1. Health & Medical Conditions

  • Disclosure: Clients are required to inform their nail technician of any known allergies (especially to acrylics, gels, latex, or specific lotions), medical conditions, or medications before the service begins.
  • Specific Risks: If you have diabetes, are pregnant, take blood thinners, or have a compromised immune system, please notify us. These conditions can increase your sensitivity or risk of infection, and we will adapt our techniques to keep you safe.
  • Refusal of Service: For public safety and hygiene, Lin Nails reserves the right to refuse service to anyone with open wounds, severe inflammation, or visible skin/nail infections (such as severe nail fungus or warts). We recommend seeing a medical professional in these instances.

2. Right to Refuse & Damage Disclaimer

  • Natural Nail Health: Our technicians assess the health of your natural nails before applying extensions, acrylics, or gels. If we advise that a specific service may damage an already weakened nail, and you choose to proceed anyway, Lin Nails is not responsible for any subsequent cracking, breaking, or damage to your natural nails.
  • Aftercare: Once you leave the salon, the longevity of your nails depends heavily on personal care. Lin Nails is not liable for chips, breaks, or lifting caused by manual labor, sports, exposure to harsh chemicals, or general wear and tear after you exit the premises.

3. Personal Property

Lin Nails is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings during your visit.

Please be careful with personal items (like luxury handbags, clothing, or phones) around nail products, acetone, and oils, as these chemicals can cause permanent damage to certain fabrics and materials.

4. Children and Safety

For safety reasons, children who are not receiving a service must be supervised by an adult at all times and remain in the waiting area.

Our salon contains sharp tools, hot equipment, and chemicals that can be dangerous to unattended children. Lin Nails is not liable for any injuries sustained by unsupervised children in the salon.

Client Acknowledgment & Consent

By booking an appointment or receiving services at Lin Nails, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Liability Waiver. I agree to release Lin Nails and its staff from any liability resulting from undisclosed medical conditions, standard service wear-and-tear, or accidents arising from a failure to follow the rules outlined above.

Lin Nails Salon Policies & Etiquette

To ensure a relaxing, sanitary, and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone, we kindly ask all guests to observe the following salon guidelines.

1. Fix-It Guarantee (Service Repairs)

We want you to love your nails! We take great pride in our work, but we know accidents happen.

  • Gel & Acrylics: If your gel polish chips or an acrylic nail lifts within 7 days of your original service, call or stop by and we will fix it for free.
  • Regular Polish: Because regular nail polish is naturally prone to faster wear, we offer a 3-day guarantee for free touch-ups.
Note: Any repairs requested after these timeframes, or damage caused by clearly rough handling/picking, will incur a standard repair fee.

2. Payment & Gratuity

  • Accepted Payments: We accept cash, all major credit/debit cards, and Apple Pay. We do not accept personal checks.
  • Tips: Gratuities are never mandatory but are always deeply appreciated by our hard-working technicians. Cash tips are preferred, though digital tipping option is available at checkout.

3. Salon Environment & Devices

  • Cell Phones: To maintain a serene and relaxing environment for all clients, please set your phone to silent or vibrate upon entering the salon.
  • Calls & Video: If you must take a call or watch videos/listen to music, we kindly ask that you use headphones so as not to disturb neighboring guests.
  • Hand Washing: For sanitary purposes, we ask all clients to wash their hands at our station before their service begins.

4. Group Bookings & Parties

We love hosting bridal parties, birthdays, and girls' nights out!

For groups of 4 or more, please contact us at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance. Group bookings require a 50% deposit at the time of booking, which is refundable up to 7 days before the event.


5. Pets Policy

For the health, safety, and comfort of all clients and staff, no pets are allowed inside the salon.

Certified Service Animals (as defined by local regulations) are always welcome, provided they are leashed and under the owner's full control at all times. Emotional support animals do not qualify under this exception.


6. Refund Policy

We do not issue cash or credit card refunds on services already rendered.

If you are unhappy with your service while you are at the salon, please let your technician or the manager know immediately. We will do everything we can to adjust, fix, or redo the service to your satisfaction before you leave.

Lin Nails Appointment Cancellation Policy

At Lin Nails, we dedicate our time to providing you with the best nail care experience. When you book an appointment, that time is set aside exclusively for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for your cooperation with our policy below.

1. Standard Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • 24-Hour Notice: We require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your appointment time may be subject to a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service cost.

2. No-Shows

If you miss your appointment without notifying us ("no-show"), you will be charged 100% of the scheduled service cost.

Future appointments may require a non-refundable deposit to secure a time slot.


3. Late Arrivals

We understand that life happens! We offer a 10 to 15-minute grace period.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your service time (while still charging full price) or reschedule your appointment to avoid delaying our next guest.
